Durham v Liverpool Feds

Durham Women FC are hitting the road in pre-season - and bringing professional women’s football to Cumberland!

The Barclays Women’s Championship side will face Liverpool Feds of the FA Women’s National League on Sunday, August 11 (1pm kick-off) at Frenchfield Stadium, the home of Penrith AFC.

It will be the first time that a professional women’s side has played in the county since 2018, when Durham faced top tier side Liverpool at the same venue.

The game will see a host of international players take to the field, while the club will be working with the Cumberland FA to give local grassroots clubs the chance to be mascots for this special fixture.

It will also be a chance for the Blue Army to watch their team and new signings in action ahead of the new Barclays Women’s Championship campaign kicking-off in September, with Penrith AFC easily accessible by car from Durham.

Tickets for the game are on sale now, and are priced at just £5 for adults and £1 for under-16s.

Supporters are strongly advised to purchase tickets online as there is no guarantee that tickets will be available on the day - and if they are, prices will rise to £8/£3.
